Many of us want to support corporately responsible corporations. We want to feel right about our purchases. However, just knowing which corporations are responsible may not be enough to make our day-to-day food choices.
This is the reason behind our organization. We know that people have a desire to make the right decisions. We know that there is a trend in that direction. However, we also understand that people value convenience and taste over things like sustainability. We aim to teach that fresh, sustainable, in season food is the best tasting, most responsible, and healthiest option possible.
Consider the following infographics from a study conducted by the International Food Information Council. The original infographic can be found here.
So we know that people think its tough to eat healthy and sustainably, but that a majority would use a website or other application to do so.
The biggest driver is taste. Fresh, in-season, and sustainable food simply tastes better. It doesn’t take much to figure that part out!!
Confidence in our country’s food supply is misplaced at best. We need to be far less trusting of this.
